Ex gf agreed to meet up

By Chris Seiter. Stephen Hawking is considered to be one of the smartest people in the world. Being so smart, I bet he knows all about how to know if your ex girlfriend wants you back and when might be the opportunistic times to strike. I mean, the guy is a quantum physicist for heavens sake. To me, any quantum physicist has to be pretty darn intelligent and this guy is at the top of the food chain in his expertise.

My ex-girlfriend has agreed to meet for coffee?

She brokeup with me after a vacation and the reasons were kind of unclear. But throughout the breakup I have been working on myself and I want to be confident when seeing her, hoping we can have a new spark and start something new since our old relationship wouldn't work outside of college.

I am aware 6 weeks isn't enough to get back together and I am willing to take it slow in this process. I am not trying to get back with her now. My question is what should be my Do's and Don't with meeting up with her for lunch and after. I also would like to do something again with her within the next two weeks, so how should I go about that?

Any advice would be great. Edited on July 1, at UTC by the author. Delete Report Edit Lock Reported. Respond to Anonymous:. Respond Your response must be between 3 and characters. Don't: Meet her in the first place. Her reasons for breaking up were unclear? She just got back from vacation? Seems pretty clear to me Kingslayer : We were on vacation and had a good time. Then three days later it happened.

We had issues earlier in spring but we worked on them and after that time everything was going good. I was spending time with her and her family prior to her graduation and went to vacation shortly after. I say the reasons are unclear because she told me two completely different things on separate occasions on why she wanted to breakup. The first reason was simple: She has a severe case of depression and it was hurting our relationship since she felt disconnected, had low-self esteem, and we had no sex life.

It came off as if she didn't want me to deal with that and she wanted to give herself time to work things out for herself. Then a week later I got emotional and kind of blew up on her so she told me she thinks we are incompatible though we been dating for a long time and she isn't the kind of person to stick with someone for several years if she didn't think that was the case.

We had a meeting together last week for a non-profit and she was surprising warm and very talkative to me when I didn't initiate any conversation. So I followed up with her this week and she wanted to do lunch. Delete Report Edit Reported Reply.

Anonymous : The circumstances do not change my opinion on not meeting up. Seems there are a lot of posters here lately that blame breakups on "depression. Typically when people decide they want to break up out of the blue, it's because she had interest in another guy, which didn't go well, and now wants to go to her fall back plan you until the BBD comes along.

Both situations are not ideal. Think about this one. A lot of people are going to tell you to move on and to forget about her and that a meet-up is a bad idea. I would tell you that as long as you have your head and heart in the right place, it isn't the worst idea.

I dated a girl for almost two years before she broke up with me. I did the best I could to improve myself afterwards and decided that I shouldn't date for a while. I worked out, started reading, did projects around the house i. Through all of that I realized that I have a lot more to offer than I had previously thought and developed a new sense of self-respect and confidence. After a few months I started talking with my ex again; mainly small-talk at first and then we started to reconnect.

We started dating again six months after she broke up with me, and our relationship was much stronger than it ever was before. In fact, we just got married a month ago. As for specific advice, when you meet with your ex the first few times, keep the conversation light and avoid talking about your relationship.

Definitely go Dutch on the meal so that neither of you read too much into things. I would tell you to continue to work on yourself. But make sure that you are doing it for you and not for her.

In order to actually improve, you need to do it for yourself, not for anyone else; otherwise you'll just fall back into your old ways. Good luck. Yes, do continue working on yourself, as suggested, and don't meet up with her in the first place. Her reasons for the break up are rather clear to me also. BUT, I'm certain you'll meet her, pretend not to fawn over her, agree to whatever terms she sets up for an eventual unbreak up and sooner or later will deliver yet another unclear to you reason why this just isn't working.

I hate to say we told you so but Dont talk about the past, unless it is nostalgically about a funny incident you shared. Don't talk about you relationship or her.

Dont talk about anything heavy. Be happy and proud of how things are going for you. Look blah blah depression blah blah, truth was she was not interested in you or the relationship anymore. She can justify it in her mind all she wants. She broke up with you and has to want to come back.

It has to be a great place to be. Just don't let her ruin your opportunities to date other women; find a loving relationship and moving on from now.

You would be surprised how many men let their ex ruin their chances in finding a relationship all in the name of what? Being "just friends",showing what a good sport you are As they say, you can forgive someone without letting them into your life again.

So do yourself the favor Bombtastic Send a private message. Don't pay Don't get emotional Don't offer to meet again don't call don't ask if it's still on don't go unless she confirms your still meeting don't lead her to ask that don't plan on anything happening do be indifferent in the outcome do act like she's your sister Do talk to her like she's just a friend do view her as someone you would never sleep with do keep your cool do think clearly do question her if you want.

Meeting Up With An Ex Can Backfire!

Here are 5 questions to answer to get clear on whether you are ready and can actually get her back:. For example: If a guy was too emotionally sensitive, got upset about the setbacks in his life and whined about his feelings to his woman, then to earn back her respect, he needs to show her that he is now emotionally stronger and better able to handle his emotions around her e. Another example is where a guy stopped making his woman feel feminine and girly in his presence and instead fell into the habit of treating her more like a friend or worse, making her feel like she was the more emotionally dominant one in the relationship. Once you understand what she really wants you to change about yourself to be able to feel a renewed sense of respect and attraction for you, it then becomes easier for you to get her back.

By Chris Seiter. When you enter the No Contact period, you may feel like your first contact, let alone a meet up, will never happen.
